This ongoing project has consisted of upgrading the Domino servers to  8.5.1, upgrading the applications to the new release, installing a new Lotus Instant Messaging / Sametime server for communication between the branch offices, and upgrading the Lotus Team Collaboration / Quickplaces and associated rooms to the current version.

The project included:  upgrade the server environment to R7.0.2, then to 8.5.1, in multiple states on the iSeries platform and Windows 2003; reconfigure the SMTP servers to use mail rules and blacklists; implement iNotes and a portal for user access via a browser; implement Lotus Instant Messaging / Sametime; develop internal business applications; upgrade Lotus Team Collaboration / Quickplace and the team rooms; implement Blackberry and Sametime together, and test and migrate existing applications to the current version of Domino/Notes.

Currently, the YMCA has migrated over to VMWare with their Domino, Blackberry, and Sametime servers, while still retaining their iSeries servers.
