The scope of the project for Seton Hall University was to reconfigure the architecture of their 14 email and application servers. This involved the reconfiguration of the existing IBM Blade Servers and the System X SANs.
In addition to server consolidation efforts, we re-architected, configured, and implemented Domino clustering for the environment. This included load balancing, failover configurations, and performance tuning.
Additional activities included the redesign of the updated architecture in preparation for a migration of the email functions of the university to Exchange. However, the environment was designed to retain Notes/Domino as the application environment, so architectural changes were incorporated to provide for interoperability of both systems
