The objective of this project was to review and re-architect the Domino environment, and position the client for an organization-wide migration to Domino 8.

 The tasks for this project included: Review of the server architecture; inventory and review of the existing  applications; implementation of new IBM Blade Servers and a System X SAN, implement new Domino, Blackberry, Sametime, and Quickplace servers within the blade servers; implement clustering; migrate existing applications to the new servers; review the applications and make improvement recommendations; implemented a portal for user access to the databases; developed an upgrade plan for the organization; train the Administrators and Desktop Support Teams.

 In addition to the migration plan, development of a strategic Enterprise Content Management architecture was initiated. Guidelines were prepared for the classification of document life cycles, document types, imaging solutions that would integrate with the Domino / WebSphere product line, and archiving solutions.
